The Process

Clean the dark.
Reveal the brilliance.

Diamonds can contain dark inclusions such as graphite, sulphide and other iron-containing minerals formed during natural growth.

For aesthetic reasons, visible dark inclusions can reduce desirability. In the Special Natts process, diamonds undergo a vigorous treatment inside the process chamber over a period of 18 and 36 hours.

The process is intended to remove black carbon spots and significantly reduce other inclusions, helping improve the overall brilliance, fire and lustre of the diamonds.

More Attractive. Shiny. Valuable.

The source material describes the process as a way to remove black spots and increase the face value and visual appeal of diamonds.
